At Hancock Concrete we manufacture precast concrete pipe and box culverts that play an integral part in the construction of infrastructure. Summary Job Description
The primary function of the Safety Supervisor is to maintain the safety program for the Hancock Concrete plants in Cannon Falls MN and Courtland MN.

Primary Expectations

  • Update safety policies in accordance with state and federal laws
  • Ensure safety training and development needs of all staff are met
  • Keep safety and annual training documentation current
  • Ability to be a part of and build effective teams
  • Willingness to travel from Cannon Falls to Courtland once a week. 
Preferred Skills (desirable but not necessary)
  • Knowledge of relevant safety and environment laws
  • Relevant education and/or experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and orally
  • Superb organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with MS Office, Windows-based software, and Google
Primary Job Duties
  • Comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
  • Contribute weekly safety updates to Management
  • Work with Workers Compensation issues to ensure appropriate return to work and prompt settlement of claims
  • Work jointly and collaboratively with Operations to improve safety and reduce Health and Safety related concerns
  • Maintain an accident investigation program to prevent recurrence of incidents and to insure information on incidents is shared adequately across all locations. 
  • Conduct on-site reviews and audits of operations
  • Implement strategies to effectively resolve Health and Safety issues
  • Create and maintain a culture reflective of a commitment to an illness and injury -free workplace
  • Conduct new employee safety training on relevant OSHA topics
  • Conduct monthly safety training on relevant OSHA topics
