Job Description
A Sales Territory Manager is responsible for the following duties in the West Coast territory (California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah):
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers
  • Prospecting and conversion of prospects into new accounts
  • Follow up on leads generated by marketing
  • Write specifications and create detailed technical proposals
  • Annual revenue growth in territory
  • Create annual sales plan and follow through on its execution
  • Provide regular reports on activity including; sales forecasts, pipeline activity and strategic objectives
  • Participate in regional and national trade shows
  • Communicate customer needs to the rest of the organization
  • Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner including; expense reports, travel plans, order entry, customer service requests, invoices, etc. 
  • Gather data on competitors and share with the team
  • Remain current on product and industry knowledge by attending sales meetings, sales training, trade shows, reading trade journals, etc.
  • Enter sales activity into CRM system (Salesforce) in a timely manner
  • Contribute to:
    • New product development
    • Improvement of existing products
    • Awareness of market changes and trends
    • Customer Service process improvements

Special Position Requirements
  • Primary Territory coverage for Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah (may be expanded to include Colorado)
  • Extensive Travel (3-4 days per week)
  • Excellent telephone skills and willingness to perform telephone prospecting on a weekly basis 
  • Must live in territory, or near Denver or Kansas City
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable vehicle transportation
  • Able to work effectively in the field on a daily basis
