Job Description
A Quality Control Technician is responsible for completing the following duties:
  • Visually inspecting cured products for various defects
  • Creating and filing cement mix batch reports
  • Performing tests on cement batches to ensure proper viscosity, air content, etc.
  • Monitoring temperature of curing concrete products
  • Inspecting wire cage / rebar reinforcements
  • Performing post and pre-pour inspections of production equipment
  • Documenting the inspections and testing of materials used to create concrete products
  • Maintaining the plant's quality control plan of action
  • Conforming with DOT and ACPA requirements / audits
  • Meeting with managers to resolve and close outstanding quality cases
Preferred Skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Certified in, or ability to become certified in the following DOT / ACPA fields
    • ACI field testing tech
    • Agg production
    • MNDOT field 1
    • Concrete Strength testing
    • Plant 1
