Job Description
A Project Engineer is responsible for completing the following duties:
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and client / customer specifications
  • Interact regularly with the client / customer to interpret their needs and project requirements
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel performance) and report regularly on project status to management 
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor design team members
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with Project Members and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Review Engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Review of redlined drawings, effective communications between engineering, technical, construction and Project Manager.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Thorough understanding of:
    • Drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances
    • Mechanical power relationships such as horse power, torque, speed, ratios
    • Shaft, bearing, and power transmission design and analysis
    • Strengths of materials and structural analysis
    • ASD Steel Design Code
    • ASD Steel Manufacturing Standards
    • AWS D1.1 Welding Standards
  • Working experience in the bulk material industry
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
