Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION
The primary function of the Logistics Coordinator is to manage and direct all freight needs for Superior Industries, including both incoming supplies and outgoing shipments of idlers, conveyors, and other equipment.

PRIMARY TASK
  • Learn and know shipping needs of Superior Industries, including those of Sales and Purchasing departments
  • Call dealers and/or customers to coordinate shipping
  • Work with brokers on international shipments
  • Provide carrier with weight, size, and destination information for quoting jobs
  • Select and schedule carriers for all shipments
  • Arrange and coordinate back-haul loads
  • Coordinate pick-up of parts or machines
  • Track all freight costs for Superior Industries
  • Direct all freight-moving needs
  • Obtain freight quotes for Sales and customers
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of FTL and LTL freight
  • Knowledge of various shipping regulations
  • Knowledge / experience in international shipping process and documentation
